緣起

從事佛教文物已經三十幾年，平時一直都忙於工作，甚至以公司為家，一心只有打拼。年輕有空時還會去各地道場參加法會，但年紀一大時，體力就無法負擔。再減少參加寺廟的活動之後，變成清閒下來後不知道要幹嘛，只能看看電視看看報紙打發時間。生活除了工作之外找不到甚麼重心，心情無法得到放鬆、壓力也不斷累積，長久下來身體慢慢出現了毛病。直到後來確認得了類風濕關節炎，面臨了病痛的折磨，才開始學習放下工作的一切，學習去轉換一個生活的方式，試者重新找回自己。
起初只是想要尋找一些方式來治療這令人苦惱的病痛，在經歷了吃藥，求偏方等歷程中只能抑制病情的發作，無法從根本治療，但也因為這樣更加體會了人生的冷暖和道理。但在尋找的過程中，發現其實需要的是要讓自己好好放鬆，並培養一個好的興趣，讓身心都能夠得到調理和休息。唯有真正的放下才能得到更多。

後來就在工作的領域裡面發現了”沉香”和”茶”，了解香和茶的一切，深入學習之後發現裡面的很多想法觀念都跟佛法跟人生有相呼應，實際下去體會之後發現不只是能當成一個修身養性的興趣，讓身心都得到舒展和放鬆，更讓自己身體的病痛慢慢的得到改善。因此更加有信心的深入研究學習。
後來轉個念頭，我們從事佛教文物的用意是”希望讓學佛的人都能夠在嘉南尋找到需要的佛教文物用品，讓他們在學佛的路上能夠更加精進”，那跟我一樣有類似狀況的的人應該也有想同的困擾，那是否能夠藉由自己的親身經驗來跟大家分享，看看能否幫助更多的人。因此就發心希望把這樣有益身心健康，能夠增進人與人互動交流，甚至可以透過”香”和”茶”的方式來了解學佛內涵的一個想法和經驗來跟更多人來分享，讓大家不只能找到快樂，找到興趣，更能在學佛的過程中還能夠透過另外一種方式來去體悟佛法，放下日常生活的俗事。因此就成立了嘉南藝文館，希望藉由這樣的分享，帶給我們的客戶不一樣的學佛體驗，一個全新的生活體驗。
